23.10.2014

The management company JSC Special Economic Zone of Technical and Innovative Type “Tomsk” will finish the incorporation of a Northern Site reserved area this October.

"This October the incorporation of a Northern Site reserved area will be completed and as the management company we must provide the establishment of infrastructure at the incorporated area," Interim CEO of JSC SEZ Tomsk, Konstantin Kaminskiy informed.

According to him, the petrochemical cluster is developing distinctively at the Northern site of SEZ, which allows companies to have a chance to collaborate for engineering and manufacturing processes optimization. In particular, LLC Research and Production Association ReaSib are planning to invest 366 million rubles in the construction of laboratory and industrial facilities at the 5.7 hectares site of the incorporated Northern Site area.

The project of 139 hectares SEZ Tomsk expansion was under review at public hearings in July, 2014. Sovetskiy and Oktyabrskiy district's community supported the expansion. Total reserved areas for Southern and Northern sites are 77 and 62 hectares, respectively. Therefore, after the reserved areas incorporation, the total area of SEZ Tomsk will increase to 346 hectares.

At the Northern Site of SEZ the issue of reserved areas incorporation is especially pressing since the actual area is fully-populated with the residents. Here chemical and petrochemical, machinery and metal working, forest and wood working projects will be mainly developed.
