16.10.2014

According to the press center of the regional state-financed institution Agricultural Center of the Tomsk Region, Tomsk Region joined the ranks of the first regions where government support efficiency monitoring system for agro-industrial complex will be created.

"Based on the discussion results with the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the decision was made to include the Tomsk Region into the list of the first regions where a project for Central Information Analysis System of State Agricultural Information Support will be implemented," the press center reported.

The system will provide for online efficiency monitoring of the government support to the agro-industrial complex.

Now the Russian Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with regions is developing mathematical economic models which allow figuring out the dependence of a company's manufacturing and financial performance on amounts of subsidy received from the government. Therefore, it will be possible to monitor the efficiency of a given government support aspect at a certain farm business level and then at the whole region level; so the budget funds will be spent on something that can get the most out of this money.

Information systems development as part of State Agricultural Information Support has been carried out in the Tomsk Region since 2008. In particular, the programs on state support analysis are introduced. Agricultural land monitoring system which has been developed in the region since 2011 will contribute to Establishment of Central Information Analysis System. At the present time, agricultural lands of almost all grain-producing region districts are digitalized, with the agrochemical survey is being carried out. After the launch of the geoanalytical system in 2016, it will be possible to monitor seeding and harvesting online.
