Federal experts say Tomsk Region takes effective efforts to ensure sustainability of economy

All regions of Russia gathered in Moscow for the seminar on sustainability of economy and social stability hosted by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. Subjects for discussion were actions to ensure sustainable economic development, and successful implementation of crisis management plans countrywide and in each particular region.

Tomsk Region was mentioned as a successful example of such efforts in a number of presentations. In particular, positive evaluations were given to the Gazprom-sponsored roadmap project enhancing the work with small and medium businesses, and to the performance on the region’s sustainable development plan.

The Region’s Committee will monitor the progress weekly and develop and submit proposals to the federal work group.
