Tomsk region is included in the top ten regions of the environmental rating

Keeping the position of 2014, Tomsk region ranked the 8th in the environmental rating, compiled by the Russian public organization "Green Patrol".

In the spring of 2015 the environment was evaluated by 21 indicators of the three main sections of monitoring - the ecosphere (atmosphere, air, bioresources, biodiversity, climate, etc.), the sociosphere (habitat, authority, psychological climate, housing, etc.) and the technosphere (industrial environment, wastes, business responsibility, science and innovations, ecology, etc.).

Environmental rating bases on information materials from the various sources, including authorities, non-governmental organizations, expert organizations, businesses and media.
