The governor of Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin attended a meeting of the Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. The head of the region told the Russian President and the experts of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives on the project of the unmanned aviation which is being implemented in Tomsk region for three years.
Meeting with the participation of the President of Russia, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Vladimir Putin took place yesterday evening, on July 21, at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements of the Forum for Strategic Initiatives, timed to coincide with the fifth anniversary of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives. The Project Competition was held by the chairman of the expert council, the editor in chief of the "Expert" journal Valery Fadeev.
The participants discussed five projects submitted for the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. The first project on the introduction of the areas surveying technology using unmanned aircraft was presented by the chairman of the board of the group of companies "Geoskan" Alexei Semenov.
"Geoskan" developments are used in the Tomsk region since 2013, when the unmanned aircrafts investigated 500 square kilometers of the territory of the Tomsk agglomeration. 3D-model of aerial photography allowed using the acquired materials in the cadastral and cartographic work, engineering, flood controlling, and many other activities, provide the municipalities with up-to-date and accurate information about the area. Due to the low cost of work the obtained data are updated annually.
Commenting on the favor of aerial photography as was proposed by Valery Fadeev, the Governor Sergei Zhvachkin noted that with this technology the region has gone the path "from the pilot to the practical effect."
"And the results are very good, - said the governor of Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin at the meeting of the Expert Council of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. - I would like to emphasize two main advantages of the project. The first is comprehensiveness: hardware, software, communication, processing of information - all in one package. The second is versatility. "Geoskan" is a good construction kit, which today can be set up this way, and tomorrow in another way. And we use it to its fullest. The only conclusion is: for Russia with its vast expanses, complicated transport scheme, forests, such complexes of course are necessary, they show good results."
Tomsk governor has advised the expert counsel of the Agency for strategic initiatives to support the project on the introduction of the area survey technology using unmanned aircraft.
Based on the results of consideration, the unmanned aircrafts project took the first place with more than 95 percent of the experts' votes.
In addition to the Tomsk governor, the project experts in the competition were also the Minister of Education and Science of Russia Dmitry Livanov, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the RF Denis Manturov, the governor of the Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov, Acting Governor of the Tula Region Alexey Dyumin, Director General of the Federal Corporation for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises Alexander Braverman and director of the line of "Social projects" of the Agency for strategic initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva.
