On October 4, in the framework of the VI St. Petersburg International Gas Forum the signing of a special investment contract The Creation and Modernization of production of the import-substituting products based on the Tomsk Electromechanical Plant named after V.V. Vahrushev took place.

The document was signed by the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Deputy Governor of the Tomsk region for investment policy and property relations Yuri Gurdin, Director General of Gazprom investment project LLC Oleg Nagovitsyn, and the Director General of JSC TEMZ Ivan Pushkarev. In accordance with the contract, Gazprom will create a modern high-tech production of blow-off and control valves and actuators for them on the basis of the Tomsk enterprise.

The main consumer of these products will be the gas holding company which invests RUR 1.5 billion in the development of the Tomsk mechanical engineering industry. The regional authority under the terms of the contract will provide the investor with the company profit tax relief and the corporate property tax relief payable to the regional budget, in accordance with the current investment legislation of the Tomsk region.

Commenting on the special investment contract, the Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin noted that the document was signed within the framework of the updated roadmap
which was approved by the Head of the region and the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller on June 17 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

Being a gas specialist with twenty years of experience, I know firsthand the high requirements of Gazprom to the processing equipment. Tomsk manufacturers due to good industrial school
and close relationship with the scientific and educational complex meet those requirements. Within four years our cooperation with gas companies has strengthened and expanded, despite the difficulties in the economy. And we will continue the dynamics in the future, will create both new production facilities and new jobs, stressed the Governor of the Tomsk region Sergey Zhvachkin.
