On October 25, Igor Shaturny, Deputy Governor of Tomsk Oblast for Industrial Policy, Sergey Yakornov, OOO "UGMK-Holding" Deputy Technical Director, Arkady Rudoy, CEO of "Holding Cabelnyy Alyans", and Alexei Zhuzhin, CEO of "Sibcabel", opened a new production facility at Sibcabel plant.
"We are proud that such an enterprise as Sibkabel is located in our Oblast. I will note that due to modernization, the production of the Tomsk plant is competitive on many levels. New levels of production and increased competitiveness provide new opportunities in import substitution and, this, of course, creates decent working conditions for employees. We have always supported and will continue to support Sibkabel, including more active work together on the road maps of Tomsk Oblast with vertically integrated companies," - said Deputy Governor Igor Shaturny at the opening of the production site.
The project of an inclined continuous vulcanization line for the cables in rubber insulation production is worth about 300 million rubles. It was implemented almost in one year with the support of the Industry Development Fund at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Under the "Leasing Projects" program, the Fund provided Sibcabel with a preferential loan of 47.5 million rubles at a rate of 1% per annum. After the new equipment reaches its design capacity, the company will be able to produce up to 1,700 kilometers of rubber-sheathed cables per year. The new products will meet the highest demands of the mining, railway and other industries and will be able to compete with European counterparts.
"We were able to process highly filled granulated rubber compounds, which will allow us to produce cables with improved performance characteristics: with high wear and fire resistance, flexibility. They will be able to work in conditions with extremely low temperatures and in aggressive environments. The special design of the new line will ensure uniform supply and distribution of the material along the conductive core. That means that the quality of the insulation and the shell will be much higher," said Alexey Zhuzhin, director of Sibcabel.
Thanks to the new technology, the efficiency of the production process will increase. Another important effect of launching an inclined line was the creation of new jobs.
