47 Projects Participate in the U-NOVUS – 2019 Inventions Contest

At the first stage of the competition, which is conducted by the Tomsk region administration together with Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics (TUSUR), the young scientists of Tomsk region presented 47 projects solving the region’s priority tasks in four areas, including wireless communication technologies, virtual and augmented reality, robotics and neurotechnology

So, there were projects on robotics, lower limb exoskeleton, unmanned underwater vehicle, 3D construction printer, complex for early disease detection, blockchain technology in education, new generation implants, spirograph and much more.
Young scientists from “Research and Production Company Mikran”, TUSUR, National Research Tomsk State University (TSU), Biological Research and Bioengineering Center of Siberian State Medical University (SibSMU) and National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) participate in the “Wireless Communication Technology” category of the competition.

Developments in the nomination "Sensorics and components of robotics, new production technologies, new and portable energy sources" were presented by scientists from National Research TSU, Research Institute of Automatics and Electromechanics TUSUR, "Technological company" Biomechanical Systems ", TUSUR, “Research and Production Company Mikran”, TSC SB RAS," Business Energy ", IHCE SB RAS, TSUAB.

For the category of “Systems of Distributed Registry, Virtual and Augmented Reality Technologies, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data,” projects were presented by scientists of the National Research TSU, SibSMU, “Geos”, TUSUR, “FRESCO”, IAO SB RAS, National Research TSU.

In the fourth competition category “Technologies for managing properties of biological objects, personalized medicine, neurotechnology”, participants are young scientists from secondary school No. 47 of Tomsk, “3D Technology’, SibSMU, laboratory of nanobioengineering of the Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science of the SB RAS, NI TPU (Research School of Chemicals and biomedical technologies, Research Center "Physical Materials Science and Composite Materials"), E.D. Goldberg Research Institute of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine , Research Institute of led technology TUSUR, Central Research Laboratory of SibSMU, Tomsk National Research Medical Center, TUSUR.

The competition involves young scientists - researchers and teachers, students, undergraduates, graduate students, doctoral students of educational and scientific organizations of the Tomsk region, as well as specialists working in various sectors of the regional economy, under the age of 35 years inclusive, with Russian citizenship.

The second stage of the competition - an exhibition-presentation of projects of young scientists and award ceremony will be held at the U-NOVUS-2019 forum.

The forum of new solutions U-NOVUS - 2019 will be held in Tomsk on May 15-17 under the auspices of the administration of Tomsk region. The forum will be held in partnership with Rosatom, SIBUR Holding, Gazprom Neft, Gazprombank, Inter RAO, Rostelecom, Sberbank, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs and universities: SkolTech, universities - participants of the “5-100” project, supporting universities.

The U-NOVUS forum is a tool for setting up the technological focus of a region. The live stream format (professionals, ideas, solutions) on the forum is a unique environment of culture for human capital development.

Part of the forum's workshops is dedicated to digital transformation of corporations, another is aimed at designing technology testing platforms for working out solutions in new directions: smart city, digital energy, 5G networks, precision farming, platform solutions for banking and education.
