The Share of Non-Primary Exports of the Tomsk Region Exceeded 78%

In 2018, the share of non-resource non-energy exports amounted to more than 78 percent in the Tomsk region.

According to the analytical portal of the Russian Export Center, the volume of regional goods exports in 2018 amounted to more than 2 billion rubles, exports of services exceeded 300 million rubles. Last year, exports of the Tomsk region grew by 25.6 percent.

“In 2017-2018, supporting the export-oriented business programs over 100 companies in the region signed 180 export contracts 2.5 billion rubles worth. Including, more than one billion rubles is a company of small and medium-sized businesses, “said Alexander Belyaev, director of the Development of Foreign Economic Activity Center of the Tomsk Commerce and Industry Chamber.

According to his words, among the export areas where regional companies successfully compete with world players are deep wood processing products, IT services, production of telecommunications equipment, laboratory equipment and equipment for measurements, induction heating plants, medical materials and devices, filter materials, as well as food and children's educational products.
