Ratings of Tomsk Region Confirmed at “BB-” Level

The international rating agency S&P Global Ratings affirmed the long-term ratings of Tomsk region at “BB-” level, the outlook on the ratings is “stable”.

According to analysts, the Tomsk region is characterized by good access to external sources of liquidity due to regular access to the Russian bond market and the experience of attracting financing in difficult market conditions. Moreover, additional intergovernmental transfers from the federal budget for implementing national projects will have a positive impact on regional performance.

“This is the second confirmation of the credit rating of the Tomsk region this year,” said Deputy Governor - Head of the Department of Finance of the Tomsk Region Alexander Fedenyov.

Credit Ratings S&P Global Ratings is the opinion of independent professionals about the level of credit risk when a region fulfills its financial obligations.
