Tomsk Oblast Awarded For Success in The National Road Project

Tomsk Oblast was awarded a diploma of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation for a high level of executive discipline in the implementation of the national project 'Safe and High-Quality Roads'.
The Award Ceremony was held at the XIII international forum 'Transport of Russia.' The award was received by the head of the office of the national project 'Safe and High-Quality Roads' in the Tomsk Oblast - Deputy Governor for Industrial Policy Igor Shaturny.
”During the implementation of the national project, we were guided by the experience of previous years - at the initiative of the governor Sergey Zhvachkin in 2017-2018, the Tomsk Oblast participated in the federal priority project 'Safe and High-Quality Roads'. In two years we have formed a project office that builds effective work at all stages, understanding the importance of the task set by the President of Russia,” said Igor Shaturny.
The vice-governor emphasized that Tomsk Oblast was noted as one of the country's leaders in contracting facilities, launching a road repair campaign, and one of the first regions to complete the annual national project plan. For these results, the region received additional funding for this year in the amount of 52.7 million rubles, which was directed to the second stage of the construction of the entrance to the terminal of the Tomsk airport.

Within the national project 'Safe and High-Quality Roads', the Tomsk Oblast renovated 138 kilometers of the road network in 2019, spending more than 2.6 billion rubles for these purposes.
