Russian Federation Government Expands Business Opportunities In Advanced Special Economic Zone Seversk

The Cabinet Council introduced changes into the resolution “On creating a Priority Social and Economic Development Area Seversk”, according to which its borders were stretched and the list of allowed types of economic activity widened.

 With the amendments to the Government of the Russian Federation resolution “On creating a Priority social and economic development area Seversk”, an opportunity has come up to realize priority projects for the Tomsk Region industries on the territory of PSEDA Seversk, such as high technology chemistry, pharmaceuticals, medical industry, instrument making industry, IT, production of modern construction materials, and food industry.

The new version of the resolution widens the borders of preferential territory PSEDA Seversk, which allows for creating clusters of suppliers in the close proximity to Rosatom enterprises, as well as attract outside investors, who realize projects in import substitution in linked industries, etc.

Managing company Atom TOR has reached preliminary agreements on realizing four projects, including creating an enterprise which would process technology-related raw materials and develop technologies of fluoride containing production for nuclear fuel cycle.
