Rusatom Infrastructure Solutions JSC plans to keep modernizing the equipment at Seversk CHPP in 2023. The new turbines are scheduled for delivery and installation in the middle of 2023. The T-35 air-cooled turbogenerators and power generating unit for them are already at the plant. A total of 1,500 tons of new equipment for boiler and turbine units arrived at the plant in 2022.

Last year, the company invested 1.4 billion rubles in the renovation of the power facility. The funds were spent to purchase materials, equipment and on the construction and installation work for the major modernization of the plant. Over 90% of the main and auxiliary equipment to be installed during modernization was produced by the local machine-building enterprises.

Since 2019, the total sum of investments has amounted to 2.2 billion rubles. By 2026, the company will have invested more than 8 billion rubles in the modernization of the plant, which is the largest investment project in the region.

The project includes changing the heat balance diagram of the CHPP and compacting the production. As a result of the technology upgrade, Seversk will have a more efficient, reliable, and eco-friendly power plant in 2026.
