Tomsk Region Head And Digital Russia Coordinator Discuss State Support And Industry Development With Tomsk IT Community

The acting governor of the Tomsk Region, Vladimir Mazur, conducted a work meeting with the coordinator of the federal project of the United Russia, called “Digital Russia”, RF State Duma deputy, Anton Nemkin, who had arrived in Tomsk. Then, Mazur and Nemkin met with Tomsk IT entrepreneurs and members of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation from the Tomsk Region.
While opening the meeting, the acting governor called IT business one of the most developed directions of the innovative economy of the region. Tomsk IT specialists successfully work all over the world, offer in-demand digital solutions in manufacturing, in housing and public utilities, in trade, transport complex and other spheres.
A Technology Innovative Special Economic Zone functions in Tomsk. More than 50% of its composition are IT companies. Also the first in Russia functional test site for practical applications of unmanned aerial vehicles is located here. Tomsk enterprise Cognitive Technologies produces equipment for unmanned agriculture machinery and locomotives. The president of the company Olga Uskova, in the recent meeting with the head of the Region, confirmed the plans for development and expansion of production.
Anton Nemkin conveyed the key directions of the project work and promised a comprehensive support of Tomsk projects not only at the regional level, but in case of scaling, at the federal level as well.
The rector of the Tomsk State University for Control Systems and Radio Electronics, deputy of Legislative Duma of the Tomsk Region, Victor Rulevskiy, who presented his suggestions at the meeting, became the coordinator of Digital Russia project in the Tomsk Region.
Deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Solomatina and Vladimir Samokish, senators of the Russian Federation, Victor Kress and Vladimir Kravchenko, took part in the meeting.
