Gubernatorial Council Approved the State Program for Scientific and Technological Development of the Tomsk Oblast

On September 25, Governor of the Tomsk Oblast Vladimir Mazur held a meeting of the regional Council for Science and Technological Development, which is headed by him, and discussed with the scientists and business representatives a draft program “Scientific and Technological Development of the Tomsk Oblast”.
In his opening speech Governor Vladimir Mazur noted that a complex regional state program for scientific and technological development has been developed in the Tomsk Oblast, which is one of 20 pilot regions, by order of Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“This new format of the state program includes all areas and mechanisms of the development of science and technologies. The large program financing is based on the complex planning with the overall performance at the core,” Governor Vladimir Mazur pointed out.
The head of the region announced that the draft program has already been reviewed and approved by the Tomsk Consortium of Scientific and Educational Institutions, presented to the Commission for Education and Science of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation under the Federal Assembly, successfully reviewed and approved by the experts of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, and presented and approved at the all-Russian meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko at the “Technoprom-2024” Forum.
Deputy head of the region for scientific and technological development Liudmila Ogorodova presented the main areas and performance targets of the state program.
First Vice-Rector of the National Research Tomsk State University Victor Dyomin and advisor to Governor Sergei Khursevich reported on the plans on implementation of 2 largest projects of the program – an interuniversity campus and unmanned aircraft systems.
Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy of the Tomsk Oblast Georgy Borodulin informed on the implementation of the industrial cluster policy in the region.
Director of the TSU’s Engineering Chemical Technology Center Aleksey Knyazev presented to the meeting the prospects of the scientific and technological development in the field of “Chemistry and Novel Materials”.
Rector of the Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics Viktor Rulevsky reported on the tasks in the field of microwave electronics and communication systems.
Acting Rector of the National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University Leonid Sukhikh presented to the Governor a report on the new energy.
The members of the Gubernatorial Council approved the state program “Scientific and Technological Development of the Tomsk Oblast” at this meeting.
