During his working trip to the Tomsk Region, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Alikhanov together with Governor Vladimir Mazur visited Tomsk enterprises in the field of radio electronics.

Anton Alikhanov got acquainted with the technology-innovative Exlusive Economic Zone in Tomsk. The northern and southern sites of the Exlusive Economic Zone have more than 50,000 square metres of innovation infrastructure, offices and manufacture facilities of resident companies, which there are nearly 50. Among them are enterprises in the fields of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, instrumentation, information technologies, new materials and others.

One of the enterprises operating in the Exlusive Economic Zone is ProKvanT. It was established by InfoTeks in 2021 to develop key competences in the field of information technologies, design of electronic and radioelectronic products, including computer equipment, computer hardware, networking, telecommunication and peripheral equipment. Since 2022, InfoTeks has been setting up the ProKvanT research and manufacture complex in the Tomsk Exlusive Economic Zone, the task of which is pilot and small-scale manufacture of software and hardware complexes and other radio-electronic products.

In 2024, a manufacture building of the R&D centre was commissioned for the manufacture of hardware platforms. In 2025 it is planned to launch new manufacture areas - powder coating and silk-screening.

Moreover, Anton Alikhanov visited the Nanotechnology Research Centre of the Tomsk State University of Architecture and Building (TGAU). It obtains unique equipment for design and prototyping of nanoelectronics products. A new generation of electronic components with subsequent manufacture at partner enterprises, including Mikran is created under its auspices.

One of the main tasks of the Nanotechnology Centre is to conduct advanced scientific research in the field of microwave nanoelectronics, nanophotonics, nanotechnology and nanomaterials. The Centre trains highly qualified personnel and specialists in these fields.
