Tomsk Region Forms Chemical Industrial Cluster

The creation of a chemical cluster is a new challenge for this year, and work in this direction has already begun. The northern part of the city (the area of the Tomsk Industrial Park and the Special Economic Zone of Technical Innovation Type) has been selected as the basis for the future cluster. This area is home to key industry players, including Tomskneftekhim, Gazprom Methanol, NGС Tomsk, Cryogas Severo-Zapad, REASIB, and NovoChem.

NovoChem is developing several promising areas: the production of biopolymers for medical use, fire-resistant materials (flame retarders), disinfectants, and glyoxal. National Gas Company - Tomsk plans to introduce more than ten new import-substituting products  developed in-house this year. Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) can test new technologies and train specialists to work in the chemical cluster.
