International pharmaceutical forum to take place in Tomsk end of September
Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation held a session of organizing committee for the preparation of International Tomsk pharmaceutical forum, which will take place in Special Economic Zone “Tomsk” September 23–24.
Organizational committee was joined by deputy governor of the Tomsk region for science-educational complex and innovation policy Alexey Knyazev, Deputy Minister of education and science of Russia Lyudmila Ogorodova and consortium manager for opisthorchiasis, chief executive of ReMedys Foundation (Switzerland) Konstantinos Kaloulis.
“Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation encouraged attracting major pharmaceutical companies, Pharmcontract and PharmEco to participate in the forum. They are willing to be forum partners, as well as execute several joint projects with the region. For instance, localize production in the Tomsk Special Economic Zone or enter innovative regional cluster “Pharmaceuticals industry, medical equipment and information technologies,” said vice governor Alexey Knyazev.
Pharmcontract is planning to visit Tomsk region August 5, 2014.
Forum will also be attended by director of communication with governmental bodies and access in Russia and CIS of Amgen company Mariya Burchakova, general manager in Russia of BioМarin company Andrey Kharevsky, representatives of major pharmaceutical and biotechnological clusters of Russia.
“We’re preparing pharmaceutical forum with the support of Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and Ministry of industry and trade of Russia. We seek to provide business center and SEZ territory for the event, as well as start a dialogue about creation of technoparks in the field of pharmaceutical industry and biotechnologies, particularly, discuss the creation of such park in the region,” said Alexey Knyazev.
In addition, Tomsk pharmaceutical forum will be included in the list of initiatives of Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in the context of showdown of achievements and market launch of Russian pharmaceutical and medical products, including products under federal target program “Development of pharmaceutical and medical industry of the Russian Federation before 2020 and long term”.
