Young atomists from Russia and Kazakhstan will present a scientific show AtomSlam in Tomsk
Schoolchildren, students and post-graduate students arrived from different regions of Russia and from Kazakhstan to V school-conference of young atomists of Siberia to be held on October 22-24 will be able to demonstrate their creative capabilities and to tell informally from the stage about their scientific achievements within the scientific show AtomSlam.
A scientific show AtomSlam will be opened on the second day of the conference, on September 23 at 2:00 pm in the International Cultural Center of Tomsk Polytechnic University (Usova Str, 13). Every 'slamer' will have 10 minutes to tell about his scientific achievements with humor and to make spectators surprised. Different disciplines and diverse forms of presentation are welcome: a standard PowerPoint presentation, "rep"-presentation, dance, show using any stage items, etc.
On the second day of the school-conference the sections in five scientific field will be working. Participants will discuss chemical technologies of nuclear industry, prospective trends in the development of nuclear engineering, automation and computerization of technologies and facilities of the industry. They will also be able to discuss issues of nuclear safety and ecology. Section "Nuclear technologies - a step to the future" will be working for schoolchildren.
Young atomists who made the most interesting reports at the sections and were successful in the scientific show AtomSlam will get diplomas and awards. The ceremony of awarding will take place at 4:00 pm with the presence of L.Reznikov, Vice-Governor on Industrial Policy.

The first school-conference of young atomists of Siberia took place in 2010. It was organized by Tomsk Region Administration and State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, Siberian Chemical Plant, Tomsk Polytechnic University, Seversk Technological Institute, Atomic Energy Information Centre, by non-commercial partnership "Sibatomkadry" and "Tomsk Atomic Center".
