MOJE Keramik-Implantate, resident of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone announced today the release of the first batch of insertion tools for ceramic joint implants produced by the company. The production was launched by a joint venture in New Delhi.

The joint venture has all product quality certificates in place and has registered its products in Russia and Europe. The plant has an annual design capacity of up to 1,000 sets of tools. All tools are made in full compliance with German standards (which is confirmed by European quality certificates), but the production cost is lower, which enables the facility to supply its products to as many medical clinics as possible around the globe.

"The synergy of strict quality control and low production cost in India has led to a competitive satellite product for active promotion of the ceramic joint implants produced by MOJE Keramik-Implantate on the global market. MOJE Keramik-Implantate provided training for Indian production personnel, which ensured launching production and attaining the required quality specifications within the shortest possible time," says the Tomsk innovation company.

In February 2012, in the Tomsk Special Economic Zone OOO MOJE Keramik-Implantate, a joint Russian-German venture launched production of zircon-oxide nanoceramic joint implants, the first such facility in Russia and the second in the world. It makes small joint implants using the material described by many professionals as "the material of the future" which surpasses metal in many aspects and is much more comfortable for the patient. Its properties are confirmed by numerous clinical trials. The target annual capacity of the plant is 8,000 implants (third year of the project). In 2012, the company will have produced 1,000 joint implants.

Along with insertion tools, the Russian-Indian joint venture set up by MOJE Keramik-Implantate in India will also produce ceramic implants.
