Tomsk Region keeps working on INOTomsk’2020

10.07.2012

A roadmap for the development of a research and educational park as part of the INOTomsk'2020 was presented to the government of the region.

Development of a research and educational park is one of the four key disciplines of the INOTomsk'2020 project. Experts point at its close connection with the other three key blocks: creation of a university campus, development of innovative business and infrastructure, and creation of comfortable environment.

The roadmap is the result of a joint effort of Tomsk universities, research organizations, and the government. Its development took three months. The roadmap is divided in three sections: Education, Science and Environment. Under each section problems have been identified, goals and objectives set, actions and timeframes defined, and deliverables (indicators) described.

For example, one of the objectives in Education is "Creation of Network Educational Programs for Various Population Groups". Actions include development and implementation of educational programs to teach project and research competences at all levels of education system, creation of a method for the development and implementation of network programs launched by the research and educational park, etc. The indicators include the number of school students enrolled in the innovative network education programs, the number of educational institutions designing individual educational trajectories, etc.

Before the end of July the roadmap will be reviewed by the experts of the Higher School of Economics. After that it will be presented to the Governor of Tomsk Region.
