“Gazprom” to Donate 120 Million Rubles for “Tomsk Embankments”

By the end of the present year “Gazprom”, through its affiliate “Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk”, is to donate as much as 120 million rubles to the budget of Tomsk Region. The donation is the result of agreements between Governor Sergey Zhvachkin and Gas Holding Head Alexey Miller on financing the “Tomsk Embankments” project.

In November-December of 2013 “Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk” is to donate 120 million rubles as a subsidy for the non-for-profit organization “Foundation for Promotion of Development of Territories”. The subsidy will be directed at implementation of projects on reconstruction of Lenina Prospekt area in Tomsk and Ushaika Embankment infrastructure development.

“The gas company was one of the first to support the development of “Tomsk Embankments” in fact rather than in word. The contribution of “Gazprom” in the project is a very good start of one of our main “beacons”, confirmation of strong partnerships between the region and the largest power company in the world”, Sergey Zhvachkin underlines.
