“Ruselectronics” Unites Siberian Assets into a Cluster, Which Will Include Tomsk Research Institute of Semi-Conductor Devices

In Novosibirsk, within the framework of the International Forum Technoprom-2013, “Ruselectronics” Holding, a part of State Corporation “Rostec”, reported on establishment of a new science and production cluster – SPA “Electronics-Siberia”.

“The cluster will include SRA “East” (Novosibirsk), Novosibirsk plant of radio components “Oxide”, Novosibirsk plant of semi-conductor devices and Tomsk Research Institute of Semi-Conductor Devices”, said Press Agent of “Ruselectronics” Holding Maya Tatarnikova.

In order to unite the three Novosibirsk enterprises at one industrial site they carry out works on construction of a new production module and reconstruction of existing plants. By now they have chosen a technology partner to participate in design and further transfer of technologies and training of personnel. Besides, by the end of 2013 they are to complete modernization of production of SPA “East”, with more than 500 million rubles allocated.

“Establishing in Novosibirsk of a science and production complex for development of technologies and arranging production of integral chips of special electronics on their basis provide for creation of modern engineering infrastructure, purchasing new equipment, engaging highly-qualified personnel”, said general Director of “Ruselectronics” Holding Andrey Zverev.

At the end of the Forum Deputy General Director of “Ruselectronics” Holding Arseny Brykin participated in signing of an agreement between “Ruselectronics” Holding and a number of higher educational establishments: Novosibirsk National Research State University, Novosibirsk State Technical University, Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Computer Science, National Research Tomsk State University, National Technology Park “Academic Town” and Siberian State University of Telecommunications and Computer Science.

According to Arseny Brykin, the agreement provides for creation of joint research centres and carrying out research in the field of development of new industrial technologies and their introduction into manufacture. Moreover, the agreement will contribute to improving qualification of employees of enterprises included into the cluster.
