Tomsk Region Will Develop a Catalogue of Competitive Materials and Technologies

The science and technology council in the field of construction, utilities and the road complex led by Vice Governor Igor Shaturny studied innovative developments in the field of construction and utilities demonstrated by Tomsk and Moscow organizations.
Vice-Governor for science and education and innovation policy Aleksey Knyazev, scientists of TSUAB, specialists of construction, design organizations and utilities participated in the work of the council. Their interest was aroused by offers of Tomsk producer SPA “ZKSM” to introduce a new insulation material - vermiculite, developments of TPU in the field of electric discharge destruction of reinforced concrete structures, as well as companies “ErgoLight” and “Fiztech-Energo” in the field of implementation in utilities of energy-saving lamps of “ErgoLux” series and lighting equipment “Diora”. Representatives of foreign companies demonstrated lock-in polycarbonate panels for construction of sports facilities and a modernized hydrophobisator, which prevents water from destroying pavements, monuments and other surfaces.
“We invited such innovative companies the ideas of which could be used by Tomsk builders and designers for construction of comfortable and high-quality facilities”, said Vice-Governor Igor Shaturny. He reported that Tomsk Region had a systematic approach to integration of new developments into the industry of the region. At the first stage information about effective know-how is uploaded onto a special internet-portal. Then the industry-specific department selects the projects in order to arrange for their wide discussion together with experts and to make a decision whether to recommend these developments to be integrated.
“Nowadays it is very important to know what it is that the region’s industry needs and the more science knows about real needs, the more chances manufacturers will have to develop a high-quality product arousing interest of an enterprise or an industry”, believes Vice-Governor Aleksey Knyazev. The science and technology council has made a decision to create a catalogue of competitive materials and technologies produced in the region and to use the developments demonstrated at the meeting in practice.
