Tomsk experience in supporting small and medium-sized businesses was marked by the Ministry of Economic Development of the RF

On 3 October 2013 at the meeting in the Ministry of Economic Development of the RF Tomsk experience in supporting export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses was presented as one of the best Russian practices in supporting foreign economic activity of enterprises.

Two-day seminar-meeting in the Ministry of Economic Development of the RF was attended by the heads of  28 regional export support centers established under the programs for small and medium-sized business support, the heads of sector departments of the Ministry for Economic Development in the area of entrepreneurship support and foreign economic activities regulation, country departments of the Ministry, representatives of development institutions and representative of business associations (the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI), the Russian Agency for Export Credit and Investments Insurance (EKSAR), MSP Bank, VTB24 bank, the Agency of strategic initiatives).

A live broadcast with trade representative of Russia in foreign counties has become a crucial part of the event among which there was our fellow countryman Aleksandr Cherevko, who presented the experience of cooperation with the Russian regions regarding organization of business delegations and work with Russian companies.

As Aleksandr Cherevko said in his presentation “…On the outcome of the business trip of Tomsk health care companies in June 2013 the Tomsk region was recognized by the Dutch partners as one of the most prospective Russian regions to develop business cooperation in the sector of private healthcare and health care organization”.  

The second part of the meeting was devoted to presentation of the activity of Tomsk regional export support center working on the basis of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI) with the support of the Tomsk Region Administration, which was recognized as one of the best regional practices in development of foreign economic activity of small and medium-sized business in Russia.

Tomsk regional export support center (Center for Foreign Economic Activities Development at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI) is supported by the Department for the development of entrepreneurship and the real sector the economy and the Ministry of Economic Development of the RF.

The center provides consultative support of export-oriented small and medium-sized businesses, conducts seminars for Tomsk entrepreneurs with the participation of the best Russian and international experts and practitioners, plans business trips and matchmaking events in Tomsk and outside the region.
