Tomsk Research And Educational Center Was Presented at the “Technoprom-2019” Forum

At the Technoprom-2019 international forum, the Deputy Governor of the Tomsk Region for Economics Andrei Antonov spoke about the tasks of creating a scientific and educational center in the Tomsk Region.

The Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov and experts of the working group of the State Council of the Russian Federation in the field of «Education and Science» attended the meeting.

Among the tasks of creating a Research And Educational Center in the region are the transformation of the economy, the modernization of the industrial base, the creation of a global “knowledge region” and others.

“The result of cooperation within the framework of the world-class scientific and educational center “INOTOMSK” will be an accelerated growth of scientific indicators, an increase in the potential for social, economic and investment development of the Tomsk Region,” Andrei Antonov emphasized.

The vice-governor added that the project "Big University" is planned to be launched in the Tomsk region. A technology valley will be created for this, which will unite the development centers of large companies, start-up spaces and a campus for 20 thousand inhabitants.
