Investments in food manuacturing industry has reached 1 billion rubles

In 2019 regional food factories produced articles for the value of 30.8 billion rubles, which is 12.1 % more than in previous year. Investments in this economic sector has grown 2.2 times and has amounted to 1 billion rubles.

The key events of 2019 were: the launch of the “Sibirskaya Oliva” plant for rapeseed processing, almost 5-time increase of the sweet cookies production at the “Continent-service” enterprise, the startup of the “Biolit” facility for processing extracts, 40.6 % increase of the “Breeze” canned fish production by the improving of fish processing technology.

In recent years the Tomsk region has significantly increased the production of butter, farm cheese, semifinished meat, cheese and wine.
