Tomsk Campus Project Joins Ranks of Russia’s Best, Ready For Realization
As Mihail Mishustin, chair of Russian government, announced on the 17th of august during the session of the government, the first eight projects have been selected within the framework of the program of building world class university campuses – in Moscow, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Chelyabinsk and Yekaterinburg.
According to him, “these are world class projects of national scale, they will give additional stimulus for developing the territories of the Russian Federation. Not simply new infrastructure should be built in collaboration with representatives from businesses. Campuses will become points of attraction for talented youth from all over Russia as well as from abroad. The appearance of such campuses from the Far East to Kaliningrad will create an intellectual belt for development of science and technologies, as well as advanced economic growth.”
Budget grant for creating the campus will amount to 60% from the overall cost of all projects.
