Governor Vladimir Mazur Presented the Prospects for the Region's Economy Development to the Federation Council

At an expanded meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Mazur, the Governor of the Tomsk Region, spoke about the plans for the development of regional economic sectors. The meeting of the committee was held within the framework of the Days of the Tomsk Region in the Upper House of the Russian Federation Parliament.

Among the key economic development projects, the head of the region named the Paleozoic project to study cost-effective methods of exploration and production of hard-to-recover oil and gas. The project is being implemented by the Tomsk enterprise Gazpromneft-Vostok with the scientific and technological support of Tomsk Polytechnic University.

Governor Vladimir Mazur also drew the senators' attention to the development of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone of a technical and innovative type and the Seversk Advanced Development Zone.

The priority is given to the development of the road transport system, which will become an impetus for the construction complex, development of new territories for industrial and social facilities.
