Tomsk Mikran presents its developments at the International Gas Forum

Tomsk company Mikran demonstrated the satellite communication equipment to Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Board of Gazprom PJSC, at the exhibition of the 12th Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum. The company plans to start mass production of the equipment in 2024.

A video broadcast was provided to demonstrate the capabilities of the equipment from the mobile communication unit (MCU) located in Tomsk, which houses a satellite terminal that ensures on-the-go communication. An antenna installed on vehicle transmitted data to the Shchyolkovo telecommunication center owned by Gazprom Space Systems. Then the video signal was forwarded to the Mikran exposition at the forum.

The key advantage of this kind of satellite communication system is rapid communication in hard-to-reach areas, as well as at facilities under construction and at remote sites. Now Mikran is negotiating integration of its solutions for different types of transportation: planes, trains, cars.
