The ENGRA company will build a silicon plant in Tomsk Oblast

Vladimir Mazur, Governor of Tomsk Oblast, and Alexey Kovinenko, General Director of OOO ENGRA, in the presence of Alexey Besprozvannykh, Deputy Head of Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, have concluded an agreement, in which they agreed to construct a silicon dioxide production facility. The new plant will be built as part of the new Non-ferrous and Rare Earth Metals industrial cluster of Tomsk.

As a reminder, the cluster created on the basis of the Tugan mining and processing plant Ilmenit was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the RF and is also included in the Siberia Development Strategy until 2035.

Silicon dioxide is widely used in construction industry, in production of glass, concrete and ceramic products. The new enterprise will allow us to create new jobs for the residents of the Oblast and the base for the construction of new plants, primarily, construction material plants.
