Governor Vladimir Mazur Announced Planned Launch of an Industrial Cluster for Production of Chemicals and Chemical Products

Governor of the Tomsk Oblast Vladimir Mazur participated in the 27^th International Exhibition of Chemical Industry and Science Chemistry-2024 held in Moscow.

At the plenary session the leader of the region told about the development of the scientific and technological infrastructure in the Tomsk Oblast that will result in the increased investments in new productions and jobs.

 Last year the capital investments in the chemical industry in the Tomsk Oblast amounted to approximately RUB 4.5 billion. Favorable conditions are created in the region for investments in the R&D and new productions, as well as the scientific and industrial infrastructure development.

A center of low-tonnage chemistry of federal significance is constructed in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and will be launched in 2025.

A training and laboratory building of the Tomsk State University is under construction. It will become a modern platform for training of soon-to-be specialists to solve a real-life business challenges and increase the number of professionals.

An engineering center is under construction in the Tomsk technology development special economic zone.

A radiochemistry center of excellence is organized.

An industrial low-tonnage chemistry cluster “Production of Chemicals and Chemical Products” will be created on the basis of the foregoing and other facilities in 2026.
